INVITATION: The 2018 Benin City Film Festival planned for November has officially opened call for entries and will accept submissions nationally of short length and feature films focusing on social issues and women.

We are glad to announce the much awaited first Benin City Film Festival (BCFF), schedule to take place at De Civic Centre, Airport Road Benin City, Edo State. Nigeria from the 4th – 17th Nov. 2018. with the theme Film- a veritable Tool for Job Creation
The major goal of the festival is to develop young film makers and to encourage people to be creative about communicating social cultural issues through film production and to support, promote and market Edo Film Industry.
The Festival promises to bring together films practitioners from all over Nigeria and beyond and is anticipated to include an exceptional commanding line- up of films, seminars and workshops, including panels and symposiums focusing on women and youth in film making, both as filmmakers and as subjects. Films will be screened throughout the day followed by discussions and commentaries from the filmmakers.
In addition, the festival will offer, Commissioners Forums which feature the Commissioners for Arts, Culture, Tourism, Youth and women affairs in Nigeria discussing the relevancy of films in youth and women empowerment.
The Festival will also include a Museum Day - visit to the Museum and major tourist destination in Benin City.
BCFF will be a resource for film makers, Directors, Scriptwriters Cameramen, Actors, Musicians, Artiste and Craft people as they share production experience in their locality.
